IMDB rating: 2.70 Plot: “No Justice!” “No Peace!” This rising chant from the streets escalated in answer to the seemingly endless incidents of police brutality throughout this great nation. Following the shooting of Amadou Diallo by 4 members of the NY City Police Department these chants rose from the streets by heartbroken and enraged voices. However, there are two sides to every story and the truth is often found where you least expect it. “If I Die Tonight” reflects on the lives and stories of those who survive on both sides of an impenetrable divide. |

my sister is moving into a house very soon after it is through being remodeled. We found a dead bird?
Tonight we were over there looking at the downstairs, which the owner has left everything because his 23 year old son used to live there 3 years ago, before being killed in a motorcycle accident, and I guess he just doesnt wnat to part with any of his stuff, but anyways, as we were looking around, there was a dead bird on the floor. I dont know how long it had been there. It didnt smell, but it didnt look fresh either. I just thought it was weird, because she said she never noticed it there before, so…. I was just wondering if anyone might know if this has any meaning to it. I know that an old superstition says to find one in your house means someone will die, but could this mean the boy that has allready died, I dont know, because technically, she doesnt live ther yet. She is not scheduled to move in until end of February, or early March, and I found it first. Can someone please give me some knowledge. Thanks so much
so whats the question

Oh wow all this over a dead bird. Sometimes they get so hungry, that they take a chance and fly inside the house. Then they hide and die from hunger…
But maybe some kind of ceremony to lift the bad memory of the person who lived there, and who died, and moving out his possessions might be the thing to do.

"I guess he just doesn’t want to part with any of his stuff"
I think your own feelings here have probably come close to the meaning though I feel that the opposite sense to yours is the likely meaning.
Generally speaking birds symbolize the connection between heaven and earth and in your scenario I feel it probable that the deceased fellow is leaving a message of sorts.
Primarily, that his connection to, or love for, these material things for him no longer exists, or is, like the bird, ‘dead’.
It could be that the message he is trying to convey is to clear the house of his belongings, an action which would probably help his parents move on as such shrines can hold a "departed" personality back from pursuing other creative endevours/actualities.
Such entities may choose to hang around trying to get messages across to their loved ones to let their grief go and to trust in their loved one’s continued existence, his personal belongings will only but remind his parents of their grief and heighten their sense of loss everytime they see them.
And they will never realize he is still there in a very real and meaningful way whilst they feel he is gone or lost and the only thing they have to remember him by is his belongings.
He is there alright.
What I say here is offered as a guide only and not presented as fact, and I would say to you to trust your own feelings about this first and foremost.
