I need someone help I have done research on my family and I am at a dead end.?
I am looking for any info I can find on my mother family I have look in to rootsweb, ancester.com census finder and nothing. My mother ask us to do this before she died and we always come up with nothing. My mother mother was from Jewel smith Melton born in texas her mother was jefferson or cass tx. The family was from Jefferson Marion Cass Tx town has been changed so many times no one will tell us nothing and my uncle the last one left has died. We dont have money to hire someone we need hospital, courts records anything and we cant find nothing.

It is just that until you do it a lot, you won’t know all the good sites that can pay off. Or, the details that are needed to "get a handle" on it.

I have Jewel’s death certificate, which shows her born in July 1918, in Dallas county, and she died there in Nov 1964. Jewel’s parents on the death cert were John Smith and Willie Miles. I have someone going on the census end and that will be coming.

I have also found Robert Meltons death certificate. He is buried also at Lincoln Memorial cemetery. His father was Charlie Melton.
